To receive a grant, you need to be a 501c3 organization or be fiscally sponsored by a 501c3. If you are neither, we can help connect you to fiscal sponsors. Organizations must be based in the United States.
There are two categories in our grantmaking:
Networks, Convenings and Collaborations that enhance movement building

A note about fiscal sponsorship
Since it can be tough for a small or new organization to learn how to become a 501(c)(3) organization, you can pay another organization to do it for you. That organization is called a fiscal sponsor and is described in text and a short video by the National Council of Nonprofits here. People will donate to your fiscal sponsor and they will transfer the money to you, after taking a small percentage to cover their expenses.
All applicants wishing to apply to Life Comes From It should complete the online questions and the application with Submittable at https://lifecomesfromit.submittable.com/submit. If there are technical questions about the application process, a Submittable staff person is there to help you.
If you have questions about your organization’s eligibility, or the meaning of a question on the application, or need help getting a fiscal sponsor, you are encouraged to reach out to us at email@example.com and someone from the Advisory Circle or The Ahimsa Collective staff - who are helping to administer the logistics of the grant - will reach out to you.
